August 21, 20:00       Asya Kazantseva. “The neurobiology of love: why do we get so weird?”       Entrance: charitable contribution of 50 UAH (for the development of the theater)              For the first time at the Green Theater - a well-known scientific journalist, author of two books on irrational human behavior, which have become bestsellers of popular science literature, the laureate of the Enlightener Prize - incredible Asya Kazantseva!              Asya will give a lecture on the neurobiology of love and tell why scientists can sometimes compare this condition with drug intoxication.              True love exists. In the sense, it can be seen on the tomogram. Fresh romantic love is accompanied by a number of characteristic changes in brain activity and most of them are favorable: a person's activity in higher associative areas related to attention, self-representation, and social thinking intensifies. It would be wrong to say that we are stupid because of falling in love, but we certainly fall into an altered state of consciousness, and many researchers seriously compare it with drug intoxication. In people in love, hormone levels, sensitivity to pain, and the ability to perform various behavioral tests change. When you are in love, you are not really you. Science will not help to cope with this, but at least it will confirm that this is normal. Everyone has it. Relax and have fun.              The general partner of the Green Theater is the Sauvignon Park residential complex.
