30 August at 16:00 in the Golden hall of Odessa literary Museum will host the presentation of the new issue of "Odessa" calendar – "History of one street: French Boulevard" and the anthology "Deribasovskaya-Rishelyevskaya No. 78". Traditionally, in early September, published in the edition dedicated to the anniversary of the biography of Odessa, created in collaboration JSC PLASKE, Odessa literary Museum and the world club of Odessites. For the past 17 years, comes "Odessa calendar", starting and ending in September, because this month more than two centuries ago on the shore of the Black sea was founded our wonderful city and the port. The calendar traditionally tells the story of the first streets of Odessa: this issue is devoted to French Boulevard - one of the main symbols of our "southern Palmyra". Addition to the calendar is a booklet-a monograph, where the most interesting materials on the history Boulevard. The Boulevard has changed names: 1870 – "the Road to the Small Fountain", 1876 – "a Little Fontanskaya Doroga", 1902 – "French Boulevard" – after considerable reconstruction at the expense of the owners of country houses, in the 1920's "proletarian Boulevard", 1941 – "French Boulevard", 1944 – "proletarian Boulevard", 1990 – again the "French Boulevard". The history of the French Boulevard began with villas owned by the well-known Odessa – Reno, Coble, Rossetti, Rally, Rodokanaki. These places were glorified by A. Pushkin, a detailed description left Polish traveler, Y. Kraszewski, Troubadour and the main Boulevard was V. Kataev, almost all of his works mentioned French Boulevard. At the end of XIX century there were found giving G. Marazli, Anatra, Princess San Donato, Mavrocordato, Rashevsky. On the Boulevard was built the Church of saints Adrian and Natalia, Holy Elijah. Here were built by benefactors, the school for the blind and school gardening. The promenade was located brewery of Sanzenbacher and wine cellar Specific Department. Since 1922, there operated a film Studio vufku, subsequently, Odessa film Studio, whose history is linked with the names of the Les Kurbas, Aleksandr Dovzhenko, Yuriy Yanovsky, amvrosiya Buchmy, Basil Shushi, Bulat Okudzhava, Vladimir Vysotsky, Peter Todorovsky, Kira Muratova. Since 1939, it housed the Institute of eye diseases under the direction of Vladimir Filatov. In Soviet times on the strip operated the sanatorium. The history of the Boulevard is associated with many stories of love, and the most famous line from a song about Kostya the sailor "French Boulevard in full bloom". The idea of creating the Odessa calendar belongs to the leadership of JSC "PLASKE". Fruitful cooperation with the OLM continues 17 years. During this time, "Odessa calendar" received the status of a collector's edition. The second edition, which will be presented August 30 in the Golden hall of Odessa literary Museum, will be 78 almanac "Deribasovskaya – Rishelyevskaya". In the new, fall issue – the story of Eugene Golubovsky about Oleg Sokolov, poetic essay Alena Yavorskaya on the French Boulevard, the continued publication of Pushkin's travel guide by Oleg Gubar, the materials and the winners of the international book fair "Green wave". The results of the fifth contest "Odessa classics" brings Felix Kohriht. New content on the fate of the writer Alexander Kazachinsko Mikhail Poizner.
