category: lecture

place: Co-working center "Impact Hub Odessa" (1A Grecheskaya street)

Nutrition is the most important factor not only biological, but also the cultural being of mankind. In relation to food, you can determine the personality, gender, mood, religion, temperament and nationality. Food rules, religious norms, historical eras and much more have played an important role in how and what we eat or don’t eat today.              At the lecture we learn:       - What do fashion diets and religious posts have in common;       - how to eat in antiquity and in the Middle Ages;       - as writers describe Ukrainian cuisine and what do witches have to do with it;       - why do we eat what kills us;       - how war and hunger change the approach to food;       - why do zombies eat brains;       - why once cannibals were justified and how morality and food are related;       - What are the worst and strangest dishes you can try while traveling around the world;       - how food creates mythology and what myths about food live in our minds.       - And finally, you will find out why mom cooks better (but this is not accurate) and whether everything was high-quality and natural before.              Lecturer Mikhailo Kozakov is a culturologist who can talk simply about complex things. Explores popular culture, mythology, the theory of the hero’s path. He lectured on a variety of topics, from the Brothers Grimm fairy tales to the history of the plague and the mythology of Star Wars.              Price: 100 UAH       Registration is required: https://forms.gle/N9TRFmeqAX9qh7mA9              By the way, in order not to miss the events of the Living Room, we recommend subscribing to our telegram channel: https://t.me/HubLivingroom
