She is full of angry protest and reproach abusing power. Approving the principles of realism in Verdi's art, she gained worldwide popularity, made the name of the composer immortal.      The plot is based on the drama by Victor Hugo, “The King Funs,” written in 1832. The premiere in Paris caused a political manifestation. The drama was banned as undermining the authority of royalty. Only 50 years later she saw the scene again.      Rigoletto is one of Verdi's most famous works. The action is built on sharp dramatic contrasts. In the center is an acute psychological drama that multilaterally outlines the image of Rigoletto, a corrosive court jester and a gentle, suffering father, a formidable avenger. He is opposed by the frivolous and licentious duke, described against the hypocritical background of court life. Sincerity and devotion are embodied in the image of young Gilda. These contrasting characters are convex, with a wealth of psychological hues embodied in the melodic music of the opera.
