Apparently, you liked the theme of philosophy, and so we are pleased to invite you to a new lecture wonderful Yulia Tomashevskaya, Garachuk: "Traps of the mind: from madness to social norm." Because each of us, at least once, asked the question: what is man? He is the image and likeness of God and therefore a creature endowed with reason? Can you talk about madness, if we accept the Christian idea of the divine creation of the world and of man as the crown of creation? The French philosopher Michel Foucault discouraged reading the audience with his statement that by the nineteenth century madness was not! Certain forms of deviations from generally accepted norms of behaviour were, but it was not madness, as a social phenomenon. ▪ How far can the deviation from the norm, and where is the boundary, after which there is a question about a psychiatric hospital? ▪ Why before the Enlightenment, there was no need for psychiatry, and after it appears a psychiatric hospital and the concept of madness, which is the focus of medical research?
