18-19 November Museum of Odessa modern art Master-class canadian performers Miriam LaPlante. The workshop is designed for 12 participants. The working language is English. The event is organised by the IUMS in partnership with Open Art Week (Perugia, Italy) and should be start for organization of the week of modern art in Odessa. Bio Miriam LaPlante is a canadian artist who was born in Bangladesh, now lives and works in Bewani, Italy. She lives in constant doubt. Her work is a parody on the world, cynical and absurd, melancholic and disoriented, which often stems from a bizarre and fantastic images. She works in the forms of performance, installation, video, painting, sculpture, drawings etc. Her work is widely represented in various institutions, from squats to museums in Europe, North America and Asia. She works with performative collective Black Market International since 2001. // Nov 18-19 the performance workshop by Canadian artist Marc Laplante will take place at Museum of Odessa Modern Art. She works in performance, installation, video, painting, sculpture, drawings, etc. Her works have been presented extensively from squats to museums in Europe, North America and Asia. She has been working with the performance collective Black Market International since 2001.
