Performance art workshop

In recent years, in an era of speed, stress, and mediated relationships, artists, video artists, writers, musicians, dancers, and actors have enriched their artistic practices with performance art elements.       Performance is becoming more popular and appeals not only to artists, but also to everyone who wants to get closer to their existential and artistic practices based on empiricism.              Participants in this workshop will be given the opportunity to get acquainted with the theory of performance art and experiment with bodily practices based on the Marina Abramovic method, Theodoros Terzopoulos method, actor training, concentration exercises and yoga. Each participant will also create their own performance.       All performances of participants will be presented at the exhibition at the closing of the workshop.              Workshop holds: Vera Iona Papadopoulou              When:       Workshop: January 30, 18:00 - 21:00 and February 1, 13:00 - 16:00.       Performance: February 1, 18:00 - 20.00. Her work includes interactive performances, video performances, long duration performances, site specific projects, feature films, social documentaries and exhibition curators.She graduated from the Faculty of Directing Artistic Cinema (VGIK, workshop of V.V. Menshov), the master's program Digital Art (ASFA), the program New Art Strategies (IPSI), Architecture (OGASA), Scenography (LSA: Laboratory of Scenography Athens) and the RYT200 Yoga Alliance .       She collaborated with Marina Abramovic (GARAGE- Museum of Contemporary Art: Marina Abramovic - The Artist is Present, 2011), with Yoko Ono (MOMA and GARAGE: Yoko Ono Morning Peace, 2015) and participated in many group and solo exhibitions.       Vera Iona Papadopoulou gives a special emphasis on the artistic process. She has tried herself in various forms of art and physical practices and therefore attaches particular importance to working with performers. In recent years, he has been teaching performance and conducting workshops in museums, galleries, art schools.
