His short life was like an adventure novel. He lived only 28 years: he died from a Spanish woman who claimed the lives of nearly 20 million Europeans in the last year of the Great War.              Novels, plays, films and ... his own diaries, paintings, drawings and 2 collections of poems are dedicated to him. One of them was called the “Anarchist-Sun”, in it Schiel — the poet sang the grandeur of freedom, including sexual freedom, and compared himself to Jesus or the King of the Sun.              He shocked and shocked others. In the profession he was adored and supported by the same troublemakers as he. For example, Gustav Klimt. More "decent artists" blasphemed him on every corner, demanding exclusion from exhibitions and catalogs. Bright in creativity (he is considered one of the creators of expressionism), and in organizational activities, he at the age of 19 created and headed the Neukunstgruppe. As successful students, its participants in protest against the "mossy academism" defiantly left the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts.              He fought in World War I and participated in dozens of international exhibitions. After Klimt's death, he headed the organizing committee of the Secession exhibition, where he exhibited more than 300 of his works. The main one is a panel depicting a feast scene with Viennese artists, a complete quote from Leonardo’s Last Supper. In the image of Christ on it, Schiel depicted himself. Soon, the artist died at the peak of his popularity, with orders scheduled for 3 years, with plans for new exhibitions and a world tour.About the work “Two Lovers” sold at Christie’s (almost 8 million pounds) and about the most expensive work of art sold at an online auction (watercolor “Lying Woman”). About the artistically rethought flaws of their creator and the posthumous popularity and the transformation of Egon Schiele into an idol of the 60s sexual revolution - in a new lecture by Anna Misyun, associate professor of the Department of Cultural Studies and Art History of ONPU. From the cycle "Of all the arts, the most important thing for us ...: Painting in the space of culture."              Price:       early bird - 100 hryvnias       on the day of the lecture - 120 hryvnias       Online Tickets: https://secure.wayforpay.com/payment/s78c43b8ff3fa              By the way, in order not to miss the events of the Living Room, we recommend subscribing to our telegram channel: https://t.me/HubLivingroom
