We invite you to attend an open lecture "Translational research: scientia vincere morbum" from the organization of Genomics UA. From the first tape code from the first press of the pipette until the new treatment of a certain disease — this is the power of translational research. In the lecture we will discuss: And) what is translational research; II) examples of when they have led to positive consequences for patients and society; III) who is working on them and what these people are doing; IV) what career opportunities exist in this area. For whom: the lecture will use scientific terminology that is familiar to students and professionals of biomedical areas, but the lecture is aimed at a broad audience and will be understandable to anyone interested in or working in the life sciences. Lecturer: Oleksandr Petrenko, doctor, PhD-student at the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Rare and Undiagnosed Diseases and Predoctoral Fellow at CeMM (Research Center for Molecular Medicine of the Austrian Academy of Sciences), co-founder of the public organization "Genomics SA", the author of the blog mutation.me - is 4U.
