When we hear or read news about situations of violence – just think about women and children as victims. Why? According to the Ministry of social policy – every 5th woman in Ukraine have faced some form of violence. This crime also affects men but 90% of the victims were women. Stress, loss of income and isolation can increase the risks of violence against women. In modern society, a woman may be subjected to violence within the family and at work, and even in the company of friends. Very often victims are not even aware that they do violence. And yet, victims of violence, women are usually silent. Afraid to speak openly, to protect themselves, to defend their psychological and physical boundaries, too shy. Unfortunately, our society tends to chimbalanga to blame the victim: why endured, provoked, not so looked, dressed, talked... But in the recent time and government and public organizations are doing everything possible to help women break the cycle of violence. On the webinar we will tell you about the types and signs of abuse. You will learn that violence is not just beatings, and get recommendations on how to protect themselves and how to act if this happened to you or your loved ones.
