Yuri Egorov. Music of the Spheres 11 - 31 August Odessa Museum of Western and Eastern Art On August 11 at 15:00, the Odessa Museum of Western and Eastern Art, together with Dymchuk Gallery and Nt-Art Gallery, invites you to the opening of the exhibition of Yuri Yegorov. The exhibition is held as part of the Odessa classics festival. Curator - Anatoly Dymchuk “In the sea, in the fields, in the night sky, there is already a feeling of infinity. Most of all at sea. The sea is the visible image of the infinite. It is impossible for me to understand infinity, one can only know how far the stars are from us. The plastic structure of the sea - a gradually diminishing wave of waves on this gigantic sphere - makes it an Image of infinity, an image of charm: with its smells of tart freshness of algae, with the mystery and horror of its depths, the cry of seagulls and the endless frightening beauty of its inhabitants. All together this gives rise to the image of the Universe and the idea of Grandiosity. Not many artists were preoccupied with or inspired by these ideas. Perhaps this is my private feeling - in the landscapes of Cézanne and Van Gogh there is a feeling of the Universe. The idea of grandeur is for the most part created by Wagner and Shostakovich, and much in Beethoven; and both of these ideas are in Bach. Again, I may be wrong, but all Tchaikovsky's last symphonies are a drama between the Must and the Real, Chopin is an endless lamentation of the Possible ... " Yuri Egorov. Yuriy Yegorov is a key figure for Ukrainian art of the 20th century. He devoted almost all of his work to Odessa, the study of its unique landscape and spirit. Egorov's vivid seascapes and metaphysical still lifes have long become an integral symbol of the city.  Yuri Yegorov began his artistic practice under the influence of the austere style, but moving to Odessa in 1955 completely changed his approach to painting. Plots close to socialist realism and muted shades have replaced bright, sunny colors and an attraction to basic geometric shapes. On the basis of these features, Yegorov's unique style crystallized, for which a portrait or landscape is not a simple reflection of reality, but a universal sign through which the artist learns the world.  There is no doubt that without Yuri Yegorov one of the most important cultural phenomena of Odessa would not have taken place. We are talking about the Odessa nonconformism of the 60s - 80s, whose representatives were not only exposed to Yegorov's influence, but were also in close professional and personal ties with their senior colleague. Valentin Khrushch, Stanislav Sychev, Viktor Marinyuk are just a few of the artists whose work is marked by Yegorov's influence. An important feature that runs through all of Yegorov's numerous works is subtle musicality. She rarely finds herself on the plot level, but she is always present in his exceptional attention to rhythm and harmony. The endlessly repeating motifs in different variations together form the symphonic character of the body of his canvases. Harmony as an expression of completeness passed from music to Egorov's painting as a key worldview element.  For Egorov, music is an expression of the infinity of the Universe. The symbolic images that the artist creates as an expression of his own existential tension, in the end have a single goal: finding world harmony.  Yuri Egorov (1926 - 2008) was born in Stalingrad. In 1948 he graduated from the Odessa Art School, in 1952 - the Leningrad Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture named after I.E. Repin, and in 1955 - the Leningrad Higher School of Industrial Art named after I.E. V.G. Mukhina. For two years he taught at the Odessa Art School (1955 - 1957). In the 1990s, he was the rector of the Odessa Non-State Academy of Arts. His works are kept in the collections of the National Art Museum, Odessa and Nikolaev Art Museums, Zimmerli Museum (USA), Tretyakov Gallery (Russia) and in numerous private collections. The show will take place within the framework of the Odessa Classics festival. Curator - Anatoly Dymchuk “At the sea, in the fields, in the night sky, and the feeling of nonsense. Most of the sea. The sea is a visible image of the unfinished. Razumіti inconsistency for me is unhappy, it is possible only for the nobility about those who are far away from us. The plastic structure of the sea is a step change in the form of a hillock on a huge gigantic sphere - and to rob him. All at once the image of the All-Light and the Idea of Greatness is born. Not so many artists were stunned by their ideas or they were numbed by them. Mozhlivo, tse moє privatne vіdchuttya - in the landscapes of Cezanne and Van Gogh є vіdchuttya Vsesvіtu. The idea of grandeur - it was built by Wagner and Shostakovich, and a lot by Beethoven; and offending Bach's ideas. But I know, I can have mercy, but all the rest of Tchaikovsky's symphonies is a whole drama between Guilty and Deisnim, Chopin is not endlessly mourning Mozhlivy ... " Yuriy Ugorov Yuriy Ygorov is a key post for the Ukrainian art of the XX century. Mayzhe has assigned all his creativity to Odessa, vivchennya її unique landscape and spirit. Yaskravі sea landscapes and metaphysical still lifes of Ygorov have long become an unrecognizable symbol of the world.  Yuriy Ugorov, having started his practice as an artist, for a suvorogo style, ale moving to Odessa in 1955, he changed his art to painting. Plots, close to socialist realism, that muted vidtinka changed yaskravі, sleepy colors and heavy to basic geometric forms. On the basis of these rice and crystallized unique style of Ugorov, for a portrait of a landscape, we will not forgive the imagery of action, but a universal sign, through what an artist knows light.  Not a victorious summation of those who, without Yuriy Ugorov, would not have seen one of the most important cultural phenomena of Odessa. Mova about the Odessa nonconformism of the 60s - 80s, the members of which did not lose awareness of the flow of Ygorov, and the bully in the best professional and special calls with the older wheel. Valentin Khrushch, Stanislav Sichov, Viktor Marinyuk are just a few artists, whose creativity is signified by the Ugorov influx.  Rice is important to pass through the many robots of Ugorov - the music is fine. Vaughn rarely appears on the plot line, protesting the presence in the first place until the rhythm of that harmony. In some cases, the motives are often repeated in different variations to form the symphonic character of the body of his canvases. Harmony yak viraz has shifted from music to painting by Yagorov yak key svitoglyadny element. For Ygorov, music is a tense of impermanence to Vsesvit. Symbolic images, as an artist, as a viraz of powerful existential springs, I can only think of one thing: seeing light harmony.  Yuriy Ugorov (1926 - 2008) was born in Stalingrad.
