"Non-fictional sea stories" Victor Bezpalov Online !!! August 21 (Friday), 16.00. World club of Odessa citizens Victor Vadimovich Bezpalov, sea captain. ... What boy in childhood does not dream of becoming a sea captain, surf the seas and oceans. Some, having matured, decide to link their fate with the sea, although they have a very vague idea of what it is ... ... While traveling, a person willy-nilly encounters episodes that surprise and shock with their incredibility. For half a century spent in all the oceans of the earth at different times of the year, I had the opportunity to experience the horror of hurricanes and the unique beauty of calm weather ... ... I am not going to convince anyone of the danger of the sea profession or the hardships of the sea life. Just the opposite. My real stories and sometimes funny incidents that took place can be interesting to someone, they can amuse someone or remind them of their sea voyages ...The book of the Odessa captain "Non-fictional sea stories" includes 82 stories based on real life episodes of the author. Nevertheless, Viktor Bezpalov preferred to change the names of the direct participants in the events. No story is like another, just like the life of sailors 50 years ago and today. Victor Vadimovich devoted more than 50 years to the seas and oceans, starting his career on the ships of the ChMP in 1967 and becoming a captain at the age of 30. Soon he became the head of the flagship of the USSR Space Fleet "Cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin", and then for many years worked on various ships of the ChMP. About 10 stories are dedicated to the epoch-making events of the space age of the 1970s. Other stories tell about overseas flights in the 1980s. Comic and sometimes tragic situations, the direct participant and witness of which V.V. Bezpalov are described with extreme accuracy. In 1990, Captain Bezpalov was one of the first to leave the Black Sea Shipping Company for ships under a foreign flag, thereby paving the way for modern Ukrainian sailors in the new 21st century already without the Ukrainian merchant fleet. Memories of how it was presented in the book.In 2013, on the eve of the July professional holiday of seamen, the Trade Union of Maritime Transport Workers of Ukraine marked the current captain V.V. Bezpalov in the category "50 years devoted to the fleet." From an interview of that day: “To be honest, it is very difficult to become sailors today. In the good old days, it all started with nautical practice and, unfortunately, not everyone can swim. Because there are people who cannot go to sea for a long time, who cannot break away from their family for a long time. If a person is capable of long separations, fell in love with this specialty, only then he can truly become a sailor. If a goal is set, then it is necessary to strive for it. It is impossible to fight at the front if there is no rear, it is impossible to achieve success if the rear is unreliable, so the family is the main thing. To become a real sailor, all worldly concerns must be set aside, and future young officers should devote themselves entirely to the knowledge of the specialty. Because their safety and the safety of people will then depend on their knowledge. I wish that their practice was not in vain, to be sure, you should never go out to sea thinking that I will not return - no matter how difficult the flight is - I will always be at home with my own family! " In 2020, Viktor Bezpalov's book was supposed to be a gift to sailors. The author approved the editing and the cover, a sketch of which was made by the son of another captain, Mikhail Reva. The book was sent to print in May 2020, but on June 6, at the age of 75, the captain's heart stopped beating ... The book will be presented by the captain's daughter, Ekaterina Bezpalova
