On October 16, 1941, the defenders of Odessa left the city. On the same October day, partisans descended into the catacombs. The underground resistance began. For almost 80 years we did not know what really happened in the catacombs and how all the units of the first formation died. Only a long archival and underground search gave intelligible answers to many questions. We invite you to dive into the real world of partisan life. You will find out what the partisans ate. You will lie on the same stone bunk. You will learn what was not written in Soviet books: how the resistance to the enemy was organized; who betrayed whom and why the troops were destroyed so quickly.
