11th OIFF / Q&A with director Roman Balayan

February 27 about 18:00 Ukrainian director Roman Balayan will lead the meister class at the boundaries of the 11th OIFF. Access without koshtovny.  Roman Balayan started as a director in 1970 at the Kiev Film Studio. For the past year, he was victorious at the Vishchikh courses of scriptwriters and directors of the State Socialist Union of the USSR, and Sergiy Masloboyshchikov went to work. Roman Gurgenovich himself will teach ourselves Sergiy Parajanov. Yogo's directorial debut appeared in 1973. Another film by Roman Balayan “Biryuk” was nominated for the “Golden Vedmed” at the Berlinale in 1977. And the artistic film “Glad to see you in reality” in 1987 became one of the best hits of Radiansky cinema. Tsia strichka became a tragedy of the generation that lived in the minds of the absurd realities of the regime of the socialist socialism. Among the most famous robots of Roman Balayan are “Biruk”, “Glad to see you in reality”, “Two months, three dreams”, “Ledi Macbeth of Mtsenskogo povita”, “Paradise birds” and іnshi. Roman Balayan is proud of his robots. Zokrema was awarded the “Golden Tulip” prize of the Istanbul Film Festival for the film “Take care of me, my talismane”, the “Nika” prize for the “Nice film of the land of the National Social Democratic and Baltic States” for the film “Paradise birds”. In 1997, Roman Balayan took the title of People's Artist of Ukraine, and in 2001, he became the Academy of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine.  The same fate at the OIFF of Roman Balayan will be awarded with the “Golden Duke” for the contributions from the film artist.
