On March 6 at 15.00 in the Odessa House-Museum named after Nicholas Roerich the opening of the art exhibition "The Sky Falls to Earth in Flowers", timed to coincide with the International Women's Day on March 8, will take place. The exhibition features paintings and watercolors by twelve artists: Oksana Kornienko, Nadezhda Martynenko, Vladimir Natalushko, Elena Sachenko (Chernigov, Ukraine); Galina Kravchenko, Vladimir Krishtopenko (1930-2004), Galina Lekareva-Nikitina, Alexander Postel (1904-1989), Viktor Poteryayko, Valentina Filipenko (1935-2013), Stepan Khimochka (1937-2020) (Odessa, Ukraine); Vera Yasnopolskaya (1916-1996) (Moscow, Russia) and reproductions of four still lifes by Svetoslav Roerich (1904-1993) (Bangalore, India). The works of artists are accompanied by poems by Japanese poets: Ono Komachi, Saiga-Jose, Tsurayuki, Arivara Narihira, Yamabe Akahito, Yamanote Okura. The program of the event: • Musical greeting. Trio for Piano, Violin and French Horn (Op. 40) by Johannes Brahms. Performers: Alexandra Grinchenko (piano), Yuri Shundyak (violin), Vadim Vilchinsky (French horn). • Familiarity with the exposure. Presentation of a set of postcards - still lifes by Svetoslav Roerich, published for the opening of the exhibition by the Odessa House-Museum named after N. Roerich.
