Kotova studied with wonderful Odessa masters who are known and appreciated not only in our country, but also abroad - P. Borisyuk, Yu. Yegorov, O. Sleshinsky. Having absorbed their lessons, defended her thesis, and became a teacher for many young artists, Olga Kotova created her own recognizable image of maritime Odessa. Olga Kotova - artist, candidate of art history, associate professor of the Department of Fine Arts at the Institute of Arts of the K.D. Ushinsky National Pedagogical University, member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, was born on August 1, 1973 in Odessa. She received her art education at the OGHU named after M.B. Grekov (1990-1994). Studied at OMAH named after Leonardo da Vinci (1994-96), Athens Academy of Arts (1996-97). Graduated from the KhGF YUNPU named after K. D. Ushinsky (2001). In OOO NSHU since 2000 she defended her Ph.D. thesis “Nonconformism in the fine arts of Odessa as a cultural phenomenon of the 60-80s. XX century. " in the specialty 26.00.01 "Theory and history of culture" (2009). 2006-2007 - Teaching special disciplines at OGHU, and since 2006 - at the KhGF YUNPU them. KD Ushinsky.The author specializes in easel painting with a priority of color and light, mood, light beginning. Genres - mainly landscapes, as well as still lifes and compositions. Participant of numerous personal, as well as regional, regional, all-Ukrainian, international exhibitions and plein airs. Works are in museums (Odessa Art Museum, Odessa Museum of Modern Art, Museum of Nonconformist Art in St. Petersburg, Shevchenko Museum of History and Local Lore in Kanev) and private collections in Italy, Germany, Holland, Greece, Poland, Russia, USA, Ukraine and France.
