Opening of the EKR Film Club "Vladimirsky List"

The World Club of Odessa residents opens "Cinema Club of the East Kazakhstan region with Boris Vladimirsky" Do you love cinema as we love it? Do you know cinema as Boris Vladimirsky does? In any case - come! On October 16 at 17.30 we are opening the "Cinema Club of the East Kazakhstan region with Boris Vladimirsky". Here we will watch (or revisit) new and old films with an introduction by the presenter and a subsequent discussion in which everyone is present. Boris Vladimirsky is a graduate of the Leningrad Institute of Theater, Music and Cinematography, a candidate of art history, a former researcher at the Odessa Literary Museum, a teacher at the Odessa Theater and Art School, the author of two books (one of them is devoted to the work of Isaac Babel) and many critical articles. Since 1991, he has been living in California, where for many years he headed the concert and art department of the Jewish Center in Palo Alto, edited the monthly Vstrecha, staged (and continues to stage) performances in Russian, read (and continues to read) lectures on literature and art. For 11 years, Boris Vladimirsky has led film clubs in Odessa, and since the early 1990s has been leading live and virtual clubs in the United States and Israel. He was a member of the film club jury at the film festivals "Odessa Alternative" (1987) and "Golden Duke" (1988), chairman of the international film club jury at the Moscow International Film Festival (2013).
