"A little light is enough to dispel great darkness" - this is how the famous Jewish proverb describes Hanukkah. On Sunday, December 5, the excursion "Hanukkah Stories in Odessa" will take place. This excursion will take place during the Hanukkah holiday - the brightest Jewish celebration. Guide Vladimir Chaplin will tell you the rules for lighting Chanukiah, a special candlestick, and in more detail - about the history and traditions of this holiday. We will visit the places where at the turn of the XIX - XX centuries the life of one of the brightest Jewish communities in the world was in full swing! Here the intellectual and political future of the Jewish people was created by educators and revolutionaries, journalists and philosophers, bandits and tramps. And let us also remember the history of the legendary steamer "Ruslan", which, in the Hanukkah days in 1919, set off from Odessa to the Holy Land. After the tour we will have a traditional Hanukkah treat of Sufganiya - donuts with jelly or jam, covered with sugar or chocolate glaze! It is customary in Israel to eat these sweets on this Jewish holiday. Let's not break the tradition! Therefore, we promise a sweet end to the excursion program. When: December 5 at 11:00  Meeting point: Cathedral Square (Vorontsov monument) Price: 320 UAH (children under 12 years old - 280 UAH) We accept applications by calling +38 (050) 50-111-40 Or fill out the form and we will contact you: https://forms.gle/vvRTqsvNMishxPgs6
