NoSQL technologies have become very popular recently as IT companies try to move away from traditional relational databases in order to increase the speed of their applications and the speed of their development. Will NoSQL solutions always be better than relational (ORM) ones? The answer to this question depends on the domain model, project infrastructure, and architectural requirements. Understanding this is not so easy, so we decided to prepare a training for Java developers, where you can get acquainted and learn more about Redis - one of the most popular NoSQL databases. You can use Redis on your own server or in cloud services such as Amazon ElastiCache, Google Cloud Memorystore, Azure Cache for Redis, and many more. In this training, we will not only analyze Redis in detail, but also consider the most commonly used Java libraries / frameworks for working with it. During the training, we will analyze an existing legacy application built on relational / ORM technologies, which we will remake step by step using the main scenarios for working with Redis.
