The masterpiece was exhibited in the ancient hall and people from all over the world came to see it. And only seven years later it became clear that the tiara is by no means the rarest find, but a real fake, and even created by a self-taught master from Odessa! What started here ...              On April 24, Terminal 42 will host the presentation of the book by Alexander Gun, based on this incredible story. A sailor by profession, Alexander considered the name of the Odessa jeweler, whose work cast doubt on the authority of many experts in ancient art and made so much noise in Europe. Upon retiring, he began research work, collected extensive historical material, which formed the basis of the book “The Secret of the Golden Tiara”.              For the first time, the book published in Yiddish translated into Russian from Yiddish, the creator of the tiara of Israel, Rukhomovsky, “My Life and My Work”, published in Paris in a limited edition. In addition, the book included the reprint brochure “I. Rukhomovsky and his work. " It was published in Odessa in 1903 by Sapozhnikov's printing house and managed to become a bibliographic rarity. The collection includes 38 color and 97 black and white illustrations of jewelry by Rukhomovsky and photographs of his family.By the way, the tiara made by Rukhomovsky left the Louvre, but not Paris. It is still kept at the Museum of Decorative Arts. And before the Louvre parted with the fake, crowds of visitors poured into the museum to see the tiara, not as the headdress of a Scythian king, but as a "linden" of the century.              The acuity of the plot of this story does not take, especially when you consider that all this was actually happening!
