HAIKU. The Art of Brevity

Whether you are a beginner, an amateur or an experienced poet, if you love poetry and want to spend a poetic evening in a refined society of like-minded people in an unforgettable oriental Zen atmosphere, this evening is for YOU!              Haiku 俳 句 is a unique genre of traditional Japanese lyric poetry. This is the brevity and capacity of the poetic statement, brought to perfection. The whole verse fits into 17 syllables. The haiku poet is called haijin 俳 人.              Haiku rightfully won great love and popularity far beyond the borders of his homeland. Today, in the era of the Internet and social networks, the Japanese trisheavy did not try to write, perhaps only lazy.              However, do you know that classic haiku have their own “rules of the game”? Otherwise, the Japanese would not be Japanese! You will learn how to “play” haiku correctly and get even more pleasure from it at our master class and how to “practice” in the presence of an experienced hijin, in one of the most comfortable and most creative spaces of Odessa, under an inspiring vibrant the sound of a Japanese bamboo flute shakuhachi!                             PROGRAM MK              1. Information block.       Acquaintance.       What is haiku? Haiku or hoku - how to?       Limitations and rules: why are they needed? The basic rules of composing traditional haiku, with examples.       The most common mistakes of beginners and how can they be fixed?              2. Break (10 minutes). We relax, drink aromatic herbal tea.              3. Practical unit.Immerse yourself in Zen: we write haiku to the sound of shakuhachi.       We share the results: read, discuss.              At the end of the master class, all participants will receive original certificates of participation.
