The translation from Polish was made by Stella Mikhailova (laureate of the Best Book of the Exhibition-Forum of the XX Forum "Ukrainian Book in Odessa 2019" in the nomination "The Mastery of the Transfer"). The book is illustrated with drawings and engravings of views of Odessa in the first half of the 19th century. Of particular interest to the reader are the drawings made by Yu.I. Krashevsky during his stay in our city. Some of the figures are published for the first time.
