PRINCESS PIRLIPAT Age: 0+ Author: E.T.A. Hoffmann Genre: Theatrical Fantasy in Two Acts Hoffmann's Tale “The Nutcracker and the Mouse King” is a magical story with a happy ending. The plot of the tale is much more complicated than the usual ballet libretto PI Tchaikovsky "The Nutcracker". The story of Princess Pirlipath is usually fading into the background. But the stage director Anatoly Gorbaty (Moscow), in his staging of the tale, made the princess the central character of the play. The Mouse king with his mother and the king and queen are the parents of Princess Pirlipat, the Nutcracker, and Drosselmeyer.
