"Twelve frames near the sea" by Mikhail Pavlovsky
“Twelve shots near the sea” - an exhibition by St. Petersburg photographer Mikhail Pavlovsky, composed for Odessa residents and for Odessa, Misha’s hometown, the city of his walks, plane trees, cats and quicksounds, peacefully resting on city beaches. Sometimes the outlines of people and things captured in the pictures are so unclear that it is difficult to even say that it ever existed. They come out and seep out of nowhere, highlighting the places of some other reality, woven from lyrical landscapes and truthful gestures. Ultimately, they all rhyme into a single stanza - about the photographer’s view of beauty, truth and love. At the opening of the exhibition we look at work, drink wine, talk. At a creative meeting, we listen to Misha's stories about his practice and what photography means to him. Misha Pavlovsky is the author and participant of a number of exhibitions in Russia, Ukraine and Europe. Collaboration with publications: Sobaka.ru, Poster, TimeOut Petersburg, Your Leisure, Petersburg Theater Magazine, Projector, The Village, etc. The author of a series of lectures and master classes in various photo schools in St. Petersburg and Moscow. http://www.mishapavlovsky.com Opening of the exhibition: August 16 at 18:00 Meeting with the author: August 16 at 19:00 Where: 4City, Cable Car 27/1 Admission is free.
