New exhibition of the ISIS collection

Leontovich, 5       Opening of a new museum collection exposition              The new exposition of the Odessa Museum of Modern Art continues the experiment, which began in 2017, and departs from the traditional historical and chronological principle of constructing expositions. The exhibition presents contemporary art in an eclectic form characteristic of it, as a sensually-rational reflection on a person, nature, society in their complex relationships and relationships.              The exposition is structured in space by floors - conditionally thematic levels “Man” and “Socium”. This division is extremely arbitrary, as well as the division into subtopics (rooms), which are not formally fixed and can be interpreted in a variety of ways.              The new exposition of the Moscow Institute of Contemporary Art offers not indisputable “samples” of the artistic activity of Odessa authors of different generations and narratives from museum curators, but an entry into the process of reflection and empathy about the problems that concern people of different eras and civilizations.              An educational program dedicated to Odessa art and modern museum practices is planned as part of the exposition.              Curatorial group: Semyon Kantor, Mikhail Rashkovetsky, Vladimir Chigrinets.
