Chamber choir of Viljandi of Estonia

Viljandi Chamber choir finds its origin in 1987 when the town of Viljandi started its activity the Youth choir under the direction of Rini of Trumm. In recent years the choir was conducted by Toomas Voll, Kadi of Riding and jüri Liiva. The 2016/17 season, we closed a new concert program under the control of the guest conductor Jaan-Eric Tulve. The chorus mainly consists of Amateurs, but he got fame due to the special sound and the high level of singing. Greatest achievement can be called the title of nominee awards 2013 Estonian choral society, Grand Prix at the pärnu international choral festival (2012), gold and silver diplomas of the Bratislava international choir competition (2011). In 2015, the wide response received speech Viljandi Chamber choir in the city of Daugavpils (Latvia) at the international choral festival Silverbells (silver diploma in the category of chamber choirs), a charity concert in favor of the new bells of the Viljandi Janowski Church and a concert tour in Kiev. In June of the same year, the choir has performed at the International Hanseatic days in November at the concert-anniversary of the "17+15". In April 2016 at the competition of chamber choirs of Estonia, the choir was awarded second place in the category "B". At the beginning of 2017, the Estonian choral society gave the choir the title "Choir of the year 2016" for contribution to culture: in 2016, we performed 26 times. In April 2018 in Tartu choir awarded III place in the category "In" at the XIV festival of chamber choirs of Estonia. In season 2019/20 in Viljandi chamber choir of 32 singers sing in Viljandi and Viljandi County, the conductor of the choir of Riding Kadi, assistant conductor Maurice Raymond, Director of the voice Triin Ella.
