WHO ARE THE JUDGES? AND WHO ARE THE LAWYERS? 16 Sep 1997 a presidential decree was established the national holiday "day of the lawyer of Ukraine". This holiday applies not only to people who have legal education: judges, lawyers, prosecutors and other judges, but to all citizens of Ukraine under the protection of His Majesty of the Law. As the proverb says: from prison and from Sumy do not promise. In order to still avoid such a fate, there are only two ways to earn by working and not stealing and to have a reliable lawyer. The best way to celebrate the professional holiday - to discuss the problem of the relationship of lawyers with the citizens, whom they accuse or defend on behalf of the laws of Ukraine. Especially because now the society is actively discussing the draft law on amendments to the Law of Ukraine "On advocacy and legal practice". It proposes that only lawyers have the right to make representation of interests of physical and legal entities in the courts during the implementation of civil, economic, administrative and criminal proceedings, as well as when considering cases on administrative offences. Where is the free choice of a defender? Where is the jury?
