City retreat
Mindspot City Retreat is an opportunity to go deep into the practice of mindfulness. You refuse devices, social networks and the Internet, and get a rare opportunity these days to devote all day to yourself and productive work with your own attention. At a city retreat, you can create such a “torque” of awareness that this impulse can last for several weeks. ⁉️ What will happen at the seven-hour retreat at Mindspot? Work with two extremes: an overly “dispersed” mind interferes with relaxation, and an excessively sleepy and lazy mind interferes with clarity. We will learn to work with these states of mind and balance them. Transition to a state of clarity and peace: This is a rather rare and very resourceful combination. Usually one thing may be present: if you are gathered and in the moment, you are most likely not relaxed, and when you relax, you most likely lose alertness (relax = fall asleep). In mindfulness practices, we learn to concentrate from a state of rest, and to relax without loss of vigilance. Difference of states from skills: what actually we can cultivate in such practices, and how this can affect not only the sensations in the moment, but our everyday life.
