23 Nov 16:00 Audiovisual intervention in IIRC "Peace through culture" Exhibition hall Admission is free Alexey Shmurak and Oleg Shpudeiko, the Duo of soundartists from Kiev, embedded in the Museum of modern art in Odessa with the multimedia project "Peace through culture". This is a reflection on the complex history of the building, the Museum's collection and Odessa underground art of the Soviet and post-Soviet times. For the presentation of the project chosen form of performance in the genre of the meeting of the Committee. Alex and Oleg together with the Odessa actors Roman Gusev and Julia Jablecki will reveal the myth of the project through lectures, reports and resolutions, to vote for the favourite and the audience. After the performance, the authors will answer questions from the audience. For IIRC soundartist chose the way of a coherent story, referring to a number of significant events and interesting facts. Alex and Oleg have created three objects: - a collection of "the Impossible musical instruments" in collaboration with artist illustratorcs Daria Kuzmich (Kiev-Berlin); the audioplay "the meeting of the Committee." - audiovisual video "ASMR-questioning." These objects of the real facts and funny myths from the past meet with the present topical themes: environment, polarization and politicization of society, the Stockholm syndrome postcoloniality and new colonialism, the new party and the new Puritanism, naive technicism. Soundartists helped Odessa actors Roman Gusev and Julia Blecka, Odessa historian Aleksander Babich and the team of the Museum, headed by Director Simon Kantor. All three works will be included in the collection IIRC — the first time the Fund of the Museum replenished with works by non-authors.
