Docudays UA / screening of the film "Girls in the game"

On December 16 in the framework of the XVI international Traveling festival of documentary films on human rights Docudays UA in Odessa region with the support 4City will be showing the movie Alina Skrzeszewski "Girls in the game".  The film is about Terry and her girlfriend Tiana, who are trying to keep their relationship in a chaotic world of the Los Angeles Skid row, known as "the homeless capital of the USA". The tension between the two women enhances the dilemma: Tiana happy with my place in the underground economy of the slums, and Terry more than anything trying to get out. Together with other women of the community, they attend weekly classes of art, to reflect, to dream and to heal. Will survive their love among the cruelty of the past and present environment? 2018 / France, Germany / 90’ / Alina Skrzeszewski  Alina Skrzeszewski was born in Wroclaw, Poland in 1977. I grew up in Munich. Studied set design, art and media at the University of arts in Berlin, received a master's degree in film and video California Institute of the arts. In 2007-2008 I lived in SRO hotel in the Los Angeles area of Skid row. Since then, this area became her spiritual home, so Alina has created several movies about these places. Also Alina has received several fellowships and grants, among them a 12-month artistic grant of the DAAD (2007-2008) and the grant for the development projects of the Nipkow (Berlin, 2012). Now lives and works in Los Angeles, and raising a beautiful boy.  What: Screening of "Girls in the game" Where: 4City, Rope 27/1  When: 16 December, 19:00 Admission is free. The travelling festival is a traditional continuation of the International documentary film festival on human rights Docudays UA, which this year was held in Kiev from 22 to 30 March.  The organizers and partners of the Travelling festival in Odessa region: Urban Inst. — non-governmental organization promoting sustainable development of the city. The organization is a supporter of participatory planning — planning in the city with the involvement of all stakeholders. The Purpose Of The Urban Inst. — to introduce forms of interaction between all users of urban space. Odessa regional organization of NGO "Committee of voters of Ukraine" is an independent non-governmental organization whose mission is to increase citizen participation in government and their constitutional rights. 4City — urban space, which makes the city comfortable to live in. 4City consists of a restaurant Frebule, co-working and lecture. 70% of the profits institution, are for projects that make the city comfortable.
