January 17 at 18:30 in the gallery Invogue # Art will open the exhibition of Roma Gromov and Sun Kanmin "Me, myself & I"              How often are we alone with ourselves? What archetypes make up our self? You can try to explore this by rethinking local traditions, by interacting with other people, by creating situations - standard and not so.       Two authors from different countries, speaking and thinking in different languages, but, except for the same year of birth, they have one more thing in common - to look at the world ironically and philosophically.              Young Chinese artist Song Kangming notices poetry in the contingencies that make up reality, creating a peculiar system of signs and navigation that can lead the viewer to a new look at familiar things.       Roma Gromov flirts with public opinion and the collective unconscious, penetrates mythology, plays charades and riddles in front of the audience, builds allusions and plays metaphorical tennis, wondering if he has a partner, because this is perhaps an eternal game with himself and the wall with which collide and which crumble many hopes, ideas and dreams.              Together with a critical outlook on the world, the authors are united by optimism, which is vividly felt at times by melancholy and purely documentary materials in which they are only impartial observers.                     GROMOV Roma, p. 1985He graduated from Odessa National Faculty. Mechnikov, Faculty of Philosophy and Kyiv Academy of Media Arts (KAMA). Participant of more than 50 group projects around the world and 6 personal exhibitions, a regular participant of the Odessa Biennale, creator of Freierfest, co-founder and creative director of the advertising agency EGY. Lives and works in Odessa.              “Actually, what Roma Gromov does as an artist can be safely attributed to Odessa lo-fi art or the new Dadaism, the beginning of which was laid by Sergei Anufriev, Leonid Wojciechov and Igor Gusev with their uncompromising and unprecedented actions in the Odessa flea market and in the legendary gallery“ Norm". This is some continuation of the Italian Arte Povera, only in a different section, in a different time, with different goals and concept. You could even say that Odessa "poor art" differs from Italian "poor art" in the same way that Russian futurism was different from Italian futurism at the beginning of the last century. "                                                                               Alexander Topilov                     SUN Kangming, r. 1985       Graduated from Lyon Higher National School of Fine Arts, France, and Design School, Jiannan University, China. Participant of numerous group projects, awards and residences and 4 personal exhibitions. Lives and works in Changsha, China.”The basis of Sun Kangmin’s works is random encounters of noticed and discovered objects, which he combines with each other, crystallizing their political and poetic potential. Sung interprets the signs simply and clearly. His visual laconicism says a lot about the concentration that he puts into practice before using the signs gleaned from everyday life. His work is often associated with his travels and fleeting perceptions. The emphasis on details, on the finiteness of forms, the fixation of moving images cast doubt on our status as a viewer, as well as methods of temporal reference associated with the appearance of a work. ”                                                                                         Frank Skurti               January 17, 2020 - January 31, 2020             Gallery opening hours: 11:00 - 20:00        Invogue # Art             Catherine, 25             0 800 212 100              Invogue # ART is a gallery of modern art, founded in 2016 in the center of Odessa.
