I am a clown
The play “I am a clown, or KOTostroyka” is dedicated to the stars of the world clowning: Charlie Chaplin, Leonid Yengibarov and the clown with the stage name Grok, whose real name is Charles Adrien Vettah. Honored Artist of Russia Dmitry Kuklachev realized his old dream and staged a performance dedicated to the idols of his youth. The performance “I am a clown, or KOTOstroika” is a look at the great names through the prism of modernity and, of course, through the prism of the Cat Theater. Entering the image and performing reprisals of the great clowns, Dmitry Kuklachev complicates the numbers by adding tricks with cats to them. Accurately accustoming to the image of Chaplin, Dmitry makes the audience believe that this is the great clown on the stage. Kuklachev-Chaplin easily balances the pole, with the cat calmly sitting at the top. Performing a reprise of the musical eccentric Grock, the artist plays a saw, extracting stunningly beautiful sounds from this non-musical instrument. In the image of Leonid Yengibarov Dmitry performs a very complicated reprise: he conquers one, three and even five coils in succession! Dmitry Kuklachev performs the most complicated numbers with ease thanks to the highest professional skill. Recommended for adults and children from 5 years.
