XIX Christmas readings - cultural-educational project Christmas readings is a cultural and educational project aimed at promoting the harmonization of inter-confessional and inter-ethnic relations, the revival of spirituality and culture of the Ukrainian people as an important factor in strengthening unity and interethnic harmony in society. This year the XIX Christmas readings dedicated to the celebration in Ukraine of the 500th anniversary since the establishment of Nevelskogo of the gospel – the oldest manuscripts of the woodland (1520) and 1075 anniversary since the beginning of the reign of Princess Olga (945). In the program of Christmas readings includes talks and presentations by leading scientists, artists, politicians and the General public on the most pressing issues of our time with the participation of representatives of the Odessa regional state administration, Odessa city Council, Odessa regional peace Council, venerable clergy. In particular, with a welcoming address by Irina Biryukova (Iryna Biriukova), CEO ONB; Yaroslav Reznikov, Deputy head of the Department of culture, nationalities, religions, and protection of objects of cultural heritage of Odessa regional state administration; Tatyana Markova, Director of the Department of culture and tourism of Odessa city Council; Sergei Grinevetsky, politician, public figure, honorary citizen of Odessa and Odessa region, winner of the Gallery of honor benefactors "People of generous hearts"; his Eminence Diodorus, Archbishop of yuzhnensky; Archpriest Andrei (Ncold), Vice-rector of the Odessa theological Seminary; the mother Superior, the abbess of Odessa Holy Archangel Michael nunnery; Tamil Afanasyev, Chairman of the Odessa Regional Peace Council.
