January 24 at the Odessa Literary and Memorial Museum of A.S. Pushkina Living room “Diligans” (Pushkinskaya St., 13) will hold a January stop-off meeting “And the press is on the forehead ...” dedicated to the poet of the Silver Age Elizaveta Kuzmina-Karavaeva (nun Maria (Skobtsova)).              Lisa Pilenko, Elizaveta Yuryevna Kuzmina-Karavaeva, Elizaveta Skobtsova, Mother Mary ... Such a long, difficult winding path was made by this woman, the heroine of our January meeting-stop. We just try to touch some of the milestones of her difficult fate.              A child of the time of the collapse of the old world and the search for a new meaning, new goals and new forms, she was in a hurry to live, she was in a hurry to do something to ease the suffering of her neighbors, she passed all life tests honestly and courageously, combining deep philosophical and theological studies and searches with active compassion and love.              She died on Holy Week on Good Friday March 31, 1945 in the Ravensbrück death camp, entering the gas chamber instead of the cellmate, exchanging jackets with numbers. On January 16, 2004, nun Maria (Skobtsova) was canonized by decision of the Holy Synod of the Ecumenical Patriarchate.              This program is our tribute to the International Holocaust Remembrance Day.              The program is attended by a master of literary words, laureate of literary prizes K.
