Save Gorsad for posterity

On January 28, 2020, the Fifth Administrative Court of Appeal will decide on the status of the Summer Theater.           Recall that in May 2019, the Soling JV (the tenant of the land on which the Summer Theater is located) appealed to the Odessa District Administrative Court with the Department of Culture, Nationalities, Religion and Protection of Cultural Heritage Objects of the OOGA, in which it asked to cancel the decision of the Consultative Council for the Protection of Cultural Heritage, drawn up by protocol No. 06/2017 of 11.24.2017. By this decision, the territory of the Summer Theater was included in the boundaries of the “City Garden” monument and received a security status, which directly contradicted the plans for the construction of a shopping center in Gorsada from the Odessa City Hall and Galanternik.           Our organization Green Leaf public association then entered into this lawsuit on the side of the defendant as a third party who did not state independent claims regarding the subject of the dispute.           On August 28, 2019, the Odessa District Administrative Court (Judge K.S. Efimenko) made a decision (link to it is http://reyestr.court.gov.ua/Review/83936270), by which the actions of the OOGA Department of Culture on the actual preservation of the City Council from the building were recognized illegal and were subject to cancellation. The lack of security status with the availability of documents from the mayor's office and GASK for the construction of the shopping center would allow the haberdasher to start it at any time.Given this, the Department of Culture of the OOGA appealed and today we again hope very much for a fair decision and for the support and attention of citizens to the fate of their native Odessa!         The court session will be held tomorrow, January 28, 2020 at 10:00 at 19 Gagarin Ave. The panel of judges of the Fifth Appeal Administrative Court composed of: Yu.M.
