Hackathon Quay: Reloaded
If the embankment is a visiting card of a coastal city, what does Odessa look like for residents and guests? Unsystematic buildings, endless rows of plastic beds, a semi-legal business and dirty latrines attack vision, hearing and smell from all sides. I don’t want to return to such a promenade, and time on it can be spent only in dashes from one bar to another. Such a situation is disadvantageous to both citizens and business. The city and investors do not understand which side to approach the problem. It is time to do something systemic while our embankment can still be saved. Together with the architectural bureau Dekart Studio, we developed a technical solution that will give a second chance to the “golden miles” from Langeron to Arcadia. Now we need your brain to fill the form with cool content. February 15-16, we will collect the best minds of the city on a hackathon to reload the Odessa embankment. Teams of participants will prepare: ▫️ Architectural concept and sketches ▫️ Branding and marketing strategy ▫️ Business plan and investment strategy ▫️ Gardening and conservation of biosphere diversity strategy We invite architects, designers, marketers, ecologists, biologists and managers from the HORECA sphere to participate - a total of 30 people. To participate, you need to fill out the registration form, wait for confirmation from the project curators and pay a commitment fee - 300 hryvnia for both days.We are provided with information and advisory support by the most progressive officials of Odessa - the Department of International Cooperation and Marketing. Mentor support is provided by the city’s leading experts in coastal protection, ecology and botany, and, of course, architecture and design. The results of the hackathon will be presented to the experts of the City Council for subsequent discussion with the townspeople and investors.
