Understanding of the symbol. Interpretation of color, image and pattern in psychotherapy. This seminar introduces participants to the main techniques of symbol drama. The seminar includes a theoretical part introducing the history of the creation of the method, its theoretical foundations and place among other areas of psychotherapy. The structure of the psychotherapeutic session is examined in detail according to the method of symbol drama, the indications and expediency of individual, group psychotherapy or psychotherapy of couples are analyzed. The system of training specialists by the method of symbol drama is highlighted. A separate lecture is devoted to psychoanalytic ethics. The article considers the relationship between the patient and the therapist in psychoanalysis and psychoanalytic therapy, analytical boundaries, sexual and non-sexual border violations, ethics and therapy, ethics and supervision, the code of ethics, and the ethics committee. During the practical part, the participants are divided into small groups, where each successively acts as a psychotherapist, patient and observer, after which each time a discussion of the results and a detailed analysis in the general group follow. During the seminar, standard motifs of the symbolic drama are worked out: meadow, stream and tree, as well as a flower test and a vessel motif. A separate lesson is devoted to the interpretation of symbolism of numbers and colors.
