2017-the year has given us a revolutionary new version of JUnit 5. For a very long time, almost 10 years, we used the 4th version with minor changes, and all this thanks to its simplicity, compactness and stability. No wonder JUnit was always in the top 3 most popular Java libraries. And version 4.12 has become a constant companion any more or less complex project. But progress does not stand still, and the developers over two years with almost zero wrote a new version which includes not only new features but also changes in architecture. Two years after the release already released a new version 5.1 to 5.5, and now preparing for the release of Junit 5.6. So we wanted to talk about how justified were the changes and what features really make life easier for developers. On the webinar we will cover the following topics: 1) Disadvantages Of JUnit 4 2) The Architecture Of JUnit 5. 3) Migrate to JUnit 5. Complexity and pitfalls 4) Support IDE. Integration with other libraries 5) Parameterized and nested tests 6) Extension and conditional execution 7) New features in Junit 5.4 - 5.6 8) Integration with Spring Framework and much more ... We will also show a small demo and try to remake an old project with JUnit 4 tests under the new version. Is it easy to make the migration to JUnit 5 in an existing project? What hidden problems you might encounter when using the new version? For these and many other questions will be answered by Sergey Morenets, the developer with 19 years of experience, is the author of numerous papers on Java and enterprise technologies.
