Characteristics of psychological counseling of LGBT people

Special course "Peculiarities of counseling of LGBT people. Gender and sexual variability" Who is this course for? • For those who want to learn modern views on gender and sexual orientation; • To help practitioners who want to work with LGBT+ people and their immediate environment (family, relatives, partners) and to expand their practice; • For psychologists, teachers, health workers and other professionals working with people who want to better understand LGBT+ people. • For those who want a deeper understanding of themselves, explore own attitudes, beliefs, feelings in relation to sexual orientation, gender and transgender, same sex and non-monogamous relationships. The course consists of two parts: theoretical and practical where participants will learn basic information about LGBT+ and sexual orientation and gender identity, correct vocabulary, scientific views on homosexuality / transgender, and will be able to practice the skills of psychological counseling. Activities: mini-lectures, simulations, work in small groups, analysis and supervision of cases from the practice of the participants. The course comprises 12 thematic meetings once a week for 3 hours (total 36 hours) every Tuesday from 18:30 to 21:30 and 13-I certification. Price: 600 UAH meeting.
