Retrospection. Exhibition of tapestry

In the Odessa municipal Museum of private collections named after A. V. Bleschunov continues "Retrospective" — an exhibition of tapestry. The exhibition opened in communicative exhibition space, Apartment #6, 5 days before the quarantine, therefore a little viewers was able to see the high level of work and skill of the participants "Retrospect". We invite you Monday, June 1! Recall that a tapestry is a fabric made of cross weave with simultaneous creation of a narrative or ornamental composition. Twisted in a special way a large number of colorful threads creates amazing pictures, impress the finest of colour nuances. The story of this fabric has its roots during the reign of Egyptian pharaohs. With the development of civilization, the art of creating elegant textile drawings by hand, and later the looms began to expand their horizons. Known to our contemporaries the name of the material appeared in the XVII century, when the brothers-Frenchmen by the name of Tapestry was opened by the Royal manufactory of decorative woven tight structure. Zinaida Dmitrievna Borisyuk organized and led by tapestry workshop at the art-graphic faculty of the South Ukrainian national pedagogical University. K. D. Ushinsky. Many generations of talented authors have mastered this complex and incredibly beautiful technique under her guidance. Recognizable style of the Odessa school of tapestry characterized by a picturesque compositions and subtle colour, lyrical imagery of the stories and consistency of complex composite solutions. Note that the first exhibition of the tapestry workshop Zinaida Dmitrievna took place in 1997 in the House bleshunov. At the exhibition "Retrospective" presents 23 works of masters and graduates from 1995 to 2019. The exhibition has completed its work on March 16, the birthday of Zinaida Borisyuk.
