Memorial Museum of K.G. Paustovsky                                                 invites to the exhibition                                                 "Treasures" from the attic. "              In old houses there are many interesting and mysterious. Some impress with their rich decor and luxury, others with modesty, sometimes bordering on poverty. And in each of them there are attic rooms, which, as a rule, serve as a refuge for unnecessary things.       Those who have served their things were demolished in the attic, since it is a pity to throw it away, but sometime something may be needed. Over time, these things were forgotten, and they could lie there for decades.       But there comes a time when seekers of "treasures" fall into this repository of old things. And they find ...       What can be found in the old Odessa attics?       Fans of antiquity will answer: “Anything. And some of these finds can be seen on the Starokonny market. ”       And we will add: "And in the museum."              At the K.G. Memorial Museum Paustovsky, which is located on Chernomorskaya Street, the exhibition "Treasures" from the attic is open.              On this street old mansions are still preserved, in one of which Konstantin Paustovsky lived. Perhaps in these houses, in the attics, there are interesting things that can tell about the former tenants?       Of the various finds, however, in the attic of a village house, Paustovsky writes in the story “Residents of the Old House”: ... “There were a lot of old things in the house. Once upon a time, these things were needed by the inhabitants of the house, but now they were gathering dust and drying out in the attic and mice were swarming in them.Occasionally, we excavated in the attic and among the broken window frames and curtains of shaggy cobwebs, we found a box of oil paints covered with colorful fossilized drops, then a broken mother of pearl, then a copper coffee mill from the time of the Sevastopol defense, then a huge heavy book with engravings ancient history, then finally a pack of decals. "              The exhibition “Treasures” from the attic ”is dedicated to the birthday of Konstantin Paustovsky.       The exhibition presents household items from Odessa from the collection of Alexander Fridman and the museum collection, relating to different periods of the city.
