On a fascinating historical and architectural walk, you will learn the history of houses and their owners, you will see interesting corners and architectural treasures of Vorontsov Lane and Military Descent. From the first years of the existence of Odessa, along the bottom of one of the three beams crossing the Odessa plateau, a road leading to the port was laid. Over the course of the 19th century, the descent was built up mainly with inexpensive hotels, shelters and taverns without special architectural delights. By the beginning of the twentieth century, solid profitable houses of interesting architecture began to appear here, and buildings of earlier times were rebuilt in a more impressive way.
