Victorian England was a symbol of European bigotry of bygone eras. Through the life stories of three completely different women, we will examine Victorian society and the place of women in it. The first story tells about Charles Parnell and Katherine O'shea – Oh the scandal had major political consequences, and tragically destroyed two lives. The second story is about the rebellious Madeline Smith. She had poisoned her lover because he didn't want to get married, where her last name was active. Of course, the trial had a wide public resonance. Finally, the third story is about John Stuart mill and his wife, the feminist Harriet Taylor mill. This is an amazing story about love and support, creation of durable creative tandem of two philosophers, absolutely scandalous at the time, but totally happy and ended up by writing several joint papers on the protection of women's rights. — What were the ideas about women's happiness? — What was adopted in the Victorian family? — Why the suffragette movement was born in England? — What did Victorian women themselves?
