Exhibition of works by Ukrainian illustrators. Chapter II

See Odessa through the eyes of Brodsky or Zhvanetsky? Easy! Starting from July 26, the Green Theater opens a new exhibition of works by Ukrainian illustrators as part of the Reading at Home project. If the previous one was devoted to writers, then the new one - to works. Well-known Ukrainian illustrators depicted city locations in their works, focusing on the literary texts of such writers and poets as Isaac Babel, Joseph Brodsky, Ivan Bunin, Alexander Kuprin, Mikhail Zhvanetsky, Vera Inber, Valentin Kataev, Alexander Kozachinsky, Yuri Olesha, Stepan Oleinik, Konstantin Paustovsky, Alexander Pushkin and Velimir Khlebnikov. Illustrators who will take part in the exhibition: Nadezhda Antonets, Rusalia Abo, Anna Bogdanova, Alexander Grekhov, Irina Getman, Anna Gavrilyuk, Yulia Gobriy, Bogdana Davidyuk, Marina Kizilova, Natasha Levitskaya, Katerina Laznyuk, Darina Skulskaya, Daria Filippova, Tanya Yakunova and Katerina Yatsuschek. Traditionally, on the days of the exhibition, we will arrange a literary marathon with a famous person and open a memorial sign on one of the streets of Odessa. It was about this place that one of the mentioned authors once wrote in his imperishable work.We are especially pleased to tell you that the Green Theater received approval from the toponymic commission of the City Council for the placement of all literary and informational tablets. We hope that over time there will be a lot of them and new tourist routes will appear in the city - through locations with the literary history of Odessa. But we can already say for sure that the next project of the Green Theater went beyond its limits and became truly urban. Let us remind you that the exhibition will be held within the framework of the Reading at Home cultural project. In its 5th anniversary season and in honor of the fact that in 2019 Odessa was included in the list of UNESCO creative cities as a city of literature, the Green team decided to donate this great cultural project to Odessa!
