The large-scale project became possible thanks to the great scientific, restoration and organizational work of the museum staff. 37 paintings on display make up an interesting and important part of the museum's collection of paintings, which for many decades was kept in the funds and was inaccessible to the audience. The reason for this was their poor preservation and the desire to show only originals in museum halls. An important role was played by the negative attitude of museum visitors to copies, which in general reflects the current tendency to underestimate the value of such works.
