While dancing, we invite you to join and taste such a free and unique form of interaction - Contact Improvisation. We will study and research, hence the title of the course "In Search of Contact Improvisation". The course consists of 5 classes and one jam - the schedule and conditions of participation are below. The first introductory class on November 20, Friday, can be visited separately - link What are we going to do? This is a Contact Improvisation course on the basics. For example, such as safety in dancing. How to safely pick up in support, how to safely get off lifts, how to safely roll, give and take weight. How to move with a partner, in dynamics, while maintaining the point of contact. How to change levels (from floor to top and vice versa) is good for the body. That is, in such a way that the knees and lower back not only do not hurt, but are relieved, and the body learns to move anatomically correctly. How to do it with extra weight (partner). We will analyze and train all these and other basic skills on the course. Those basic skills that can be practiced for years  The course will have a slight smack of preformativeness, we will work with observation and expansion of attention, with a change in focus of attention, and the final jam will be held in the Round Robin format. WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR? This course is designed for people with beginner to intermediate experience.But experience is such a thing, it is difficult to measure it, because everyone needs a different amount of time to perfect the skill, and each has a different intensity of practice. Yes, and everyone measures their experience subjectively. If you are wondering if this course is right for you, here's what is important to know- -Exercises that I will offer are arranged according to the level of difficulty, so for those who want something more difficult, there will always be it! -On the course there will be people who are the very first time, so the very basics will definitely be. -In the course there will be assistants from more experienced practitioners, which means that if you wish, you can choose them as partners and practice more complex exercises. ABOUT THE TEACHER: Olya Khasia is a passionate dancer and dance teacher. For the past 7 years, she has traveled the world learning and practicing principles without forceful movement, including Contact Improvisation, Axis Syllabus, and osteopathy. Ethics and Consent are her main focus of research, in 2018 Hasia created her own project called "Touchability", which also touches on the culture of consent in CI, boundaries and emotional reactions. Olya conducts a format of weekly retreats on this topic. Also, one of the hobbies is staying in the water and various kinds of practices related to this, is actively engaged in freediving, does not allow the opportunity to dance in different seas and oceans, and recently graduated as an instructor in OceanDance.Olya also loves tango for a long time and uses every opportunity to join the milongas.
