Odessa historicism flourished during the urban planning boom of the late 19th century, within which the most prominent architects of that era were formed and achieved fame - Bernardazzi, Schmidt, Dmitrenko, Gonsiorovsky, Tolvinsky, Sheins, Popov, Linetsky, Vlodek and others. Historicism houses prevail in the development of the historical center of the city and represent the most important basis for the appearance of the city.
