Iyengar Yoga is a type of Hatha Yoga and is named after its founder, B.K. S. Iyengar. Iyengar himself began to practice yoga from the age of 15, and already 20 years later he became the founder of a method that the whole world has learned about, and which to this day is leading for a huge number of practitioners. All this is not without reason, because in the practice of Iyengar yoga the principle of development from simple to complex is perfectly implemented. A characteristic feature of this method is the less dynamic performance of asanas - the focus is on static work. In Iyengar yoga classes, various materials are used, such as belts, ropes, bars and rollers, necessary for the anatomically correct construction of asanas and alignment of the body, which, in practice, is given special attention. Such alignment is necessary to balance the mind, soul and body, which in turn is possible only with the correct performance of asanas.
